Guidelines for Article Submission

Manuscripts must be submitted in duplicate. Receipt will be acknowledged; manuscript will be returned if accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

Only original material not published previously or simultaneously submitted for consideration elsewhere can be accepted for editorial review. Dissertations are considered published material.

Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, 6th Edition, except for parenthetical notation and documentation.

Parenthetical notes should be used only for frequent references to specific works; otherwise the endnote system in Appendix B.1 should be followed. We have a separate citation and endnote style-guide available.

Preferred length: 15 to 20 double-spaced typewritten pages in English or German.
